Just got off the air with Hannity. I told him the liberal blogosphere has put together a fundraising network. I challenged him to inspire a conservative response and then compare results.
He went off on a tangent saying he didn't want to politicise the relief effort. Then he blamed democrats for politicising the tragedy! Anyone see the self-evident hypocrisy?
Also today, I was on the O'Reilly factor. I blogged about it earlier, but for those of you that missed it, I've reposted the converastion in the extended text. You'll probably like it.
He's got a guest host today, but here is the gist of the conversation:
Me: Ya know, Hilary Clinton took a lot of grief a couple of months ago for calling the President a "what, me worry?" president. Well, today we see the results of that. On Monday, while hurricane Katrina was destroying New Orleans, President Bush was playing guitar with some country singer...
Him: (interrupting) Oh, c'mon Mike... that's not fair, why are you going to take shots...
Me: Please let me finish - because this is important... Now we see the results of "what, me worry"... the reason I'm pointing this out is because this morning the President said "Nobody predicted the levees would break." Well, that's a result of him beiong absolutely aloof and uncaring - I watched the hurricane coverage on Saturday and Sunday - EVERYBODY was talking abuot the potential disaster if the levees broke. Instead of playing guitar and spending money on political events that could have been used for disaster relief, the President could have been planning for a levee break...
Him: C'mon...
Me: Are you gonna let me finish? Because there are results of our political choices. Elections have consequences. When George Bush took office, he appointed Joe Albaugh director of FEMA - Joe Albaugh - his campaign manager!! Now we've got Michael Brown in there - an estate lawyer with no qualifications for disaster relief management!
Him: Aw, c'mon. Not fair! more lame defense of Bush - you probably disagree with the war and hate Bush, etc.
